This is ICAN Juliette's 5th and final litter. These Lab-Golden cross pups are a repeat breeding of ICAN's Musical and College litters, with black Lab ICAN Jammer as the sire. This litter is the J&J litter in honor of Juliette and Jammer - all temporary puppy names start with "J". The plan is for ICAN to take over the rearing of the litter at around 4 weeks of age. Hopefully all these pups will become assistance dogs in training.

1 week old
The pups have hit the one week milestone and are doing quite well. Little Orange Boy weighed 1 lb 5.6 oz. The other pups ranged from 1 lb 11 oz (Yellow Girl) to 2 lbs (Red Boy). The pups typically gained 3/4 lb this first week which is a good weight gain. This litter has quite the range in puppy weights. I have been weighing the pups twice a day, private nursing the smaller pups and topping off the small pups with goat milk as needed. The bottle has been a hit. The daily gain for Orange Boy is finally on par with the other pups and he looks to be an otherwise healthy pup. The pups have had their first nail trim and BioSensor exercises continue. The pups are starting to enjoy human interaction and cuddles. If you sit in the pool, they seek out attention and climb into your lap. A great way to start and end the day.
